The Canadian Flu Guide Educational Program
Under the leadership of the Program Chairs, Dr. Karl Weiss and Dr. Alan Kaplan,
The Canadian Flu Guide Educational Program provides medical professionals
with highly interactive, case-based online Learning Modules,
with content developed by an expert, multidisciplinary Scientific Advisory Committee of
specialists and family physicians.
Educational offerings available through The Canadian Flu Guide Educational Program provide
family physicians with current, easy-to-use information about the influenza virus.
Delivered through a variety of educational tools, all content may be reviewed online and also
downloaded for use in educational settings.
Family physicians and primary healthcare providers are required to complete a brief,
free registration in order to gain access to educational content of this Web site.
Within each learning module, registered users are required to complete a
pre-test and
participate in an interactive case study.
As well, learners will be given the opportunity to
review slide presentations,
and interact with an algorithm,
as well as follow educational medical animations.
In order to be eligible for continuing education credits,
learners will be required to participate in a discussion forum and complete
a post-test and
program evaluation.
